More than 5,000 people living in Connecticut are experiencing homelessness – nearly one in 10 are children. Many unsheltered homeless must live on the streets in our state. They receive help from homeless shelters, food kitchens, clothing drives, and other resources. Yet ... socks are often overlooked and are the #1 requested item by homeless people and the shelters supporting them.Â

A Heartfelt Project of Care and Community
Sock Angels CT was started by an ambitious 4th grader with a simple yet profound observation when volunteering at a soup kitchen with her family: where are their socks? What began as a small local initiative has grown into a dedicated community action project, driven by compassionate individuals who believe that a warm pair of socks can be the most powerful gift of compassion to the homeless. Our mission is to ensure that no one in Connecticut goes without the warm feet they deserve.
SINCE 2019, SOCK ANGELS CT HAS COLLECTED OVER 4,000 PAIRS OF SOCKS FROM THE COMMUNITY AND DISTRIBUTED THEM TO CT'S HOMELESS SHELTERS!

Donated socks are collected for distribution to shelters and community organizations serving individuals and families in need throughout Connecticut.
